You can take the Kerala road transport buses (from Aluva) or a cab to reach Munnar from the airport. However, from that, you have to take a bus and reach Aluva first at a distance of around 12 Km.

How To Reach Munnar By Train 

Aluva is the closest railway station to Munnar and is at a distance of around 110 Km. Ernakulam Junction (130 Km) and Madurai (135 Km) are two other rail stations near Munnar.
