People believe that a Krampus is a half-goat and half-man creature with big fangs, red eyes, and large horns. Men dress up in a furry costume that resembles the look of a Krampus, along with demonic masks, and scare the naughty children with twigs and visit the nearby villages.
Like Santa presents kids with kids who have been good the entire year, it is said that Krampus punishes those who do not behave. It is a reminder for the naughty kids to behave well the next year so that Krampus dosen’t visit them.
