The Canary Islands are famous for many things. That includes the happening vibes and the treasure trove of natural beauty here. On my last trip, I curated this list of places that all travelers must visit here.

1. Tenerife

Tenerife

Tenerife Island is the largest in the Canary Islands chain. Around its southwestern part lies Playa de las Americas, a beach resort most tourists flock to. It should be your starting point when you choose to tour this place.

If you love to go on a food trip, ‘there’s nowhere better than going to the beach promenade in Los Cristianos to Costa Adeje. It has a lot of bars, fish shops, kiosks, souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants.

If you love the off-the-beaten-track, you’ll find yourself in volcanic hiking trails and preserved villages. Be sure not to miss the Teide National Park. It houses Spain’s highest mountain, Mount Teide. It will give you one of the best experiences when touring the Canary Islands.

2. La Gomera

La Gomera

La Gomera is only the second smallest Canary Island. The island has forests covered in laurels, tropical flowers, and rock formations. These features give it some of the best views you can ever find on an Island.

To get the ultimate feel of this lush place, visit Garajonay National Park. People who love walking and hiking find themselves in pure heaven with the walking trails around the terrains. La Gomera is the place to be if you are one of them.

It is also a must that you go on a whale-watching boat tour. You will enjoy watching whales, sea turtles, dolphins, swordfish, orcas, and Bluefin tunas during this time. These are some of the must-go places for anyone touring La Gomera.

3. Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is rich in tourist spots compared to all the other islands in the world. It has everything you need and should take advantage of your list, from mountains to lush canyons, from golden sand beaches to Sahara-like deserts. The destination delivers a very refreshing atmosphere to the visitor.

It’s no wonder the island is a continent in miniature that attracts millions of visitors every year. It’s even a World Biosphere Reserve. The Maspalomas Dunes are a must-visit for its desert landscape.

There are also water parks here that are perfect if you have kids. With this in mind, you should visit Gran Canaria when touring the Canary Islands. The region has everything a local tourist wants from a trip.

Fuerteventura

If you want to see black beaches and dunes, Fuerteventura is the way to go. Above all, the place offers you kiteboarding. It is one of the famous sports there, alongside surfing and windsurfing. So, fans of adventure sports can’t keep them away from Fuerteventura.

People will cherish their memories of Fuerteventura for a lifetime. In a nutshell, you can’t miss out on Fuerteventura once you visit The Canary Islands.

For foreign tourists, kiteboarding packages start from 230,00 € in Fuerteventura. However, there are more packages, too. So, I recommend bargaining well before choosing a vendor.

I found Isla de Lobos the best site for all surfing sports. The foremost thing there is the natural beauty. The nascent landscapes there are so picturesque.

No doubt, it is picked as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In other words, Fuerteventura won’t fail to mesmerize you. You will undoubtedly get the best value against your time and money.
