“The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean. The balcony is tiny..there’s only room for one person at a time. They put 2 small chairs and a table and they barely fit. The pool is cleaned every morning. All the bartenders are great with the exception of the guy that works there..he’s the slowest bartender I have ever seen with a dull personality to boot. The floating pad is kinda a joke you have to scale over rocks to get to it. But the location is prime if you want to check out Duvall street. It’s close walking distance so that’s also a plus. We had a great stay and definitely would recommend it.”

“From arrival to departure, The Opal resorts in key west florida was fabulous. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean and well kept. The location just off Mallory Square was great. The pool was fabulous and the waitress at the pool was great! She made a delicious rum and fruit smoothie. The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable, we had a third floor pool view room that did not disappoint! We will be back to stay here again soon!”

“My family and I had an amazing stay at Santa Maria. It was our first time in key west resorts and we hope to be back soon. We loved the layout of the suites (we stayed in a bi-level one), the view from the multiple balconies, and the amount of amenities included. “We chose to stay near the airport before our cruise to avoid the nightmares at the airport which actually were not that bad at all thankfully. We chose the DoubleTree at random more for the location than anything. It is located right on the 401 and away from the hotel strip at the airport which made getting out and back to the 401 a breeze!! What a wonderful surprise this hotel turned out to be. The hotel is beautiful, with nicely appointed rooms and the staff and service is amazing. We parked our car there for the duration and the rate for parking and room was incredible. We travel frequently, now that we are able to and DoubleTree will now by our go to hotel when we are out and about. The real clincher for me was the warm chocolate chip cookies that we got when we checked in. What can I say!! WE were also upgraded to a suite as it was our first visit to DoubleTree, it is plain to see that this hotel is making every effort to make it’s clients feel appreciated again. Thank DoubleTree.”

“What a wonderful find “THE MARKER” was for us! Suggested by a friend, we booked there for a wedding we were attending in Key West. We were blown away by every aspect of this great hotel! Very “boutique” in look and feel, the accommodations were elegant and modern and spacious. The location can DEFINITELY not be beat, as it faces the very bustling marina/wharf area and is just steps from Duval Street, Mallory Square, and all the best part of Key West. “This was our second visit and it was (again) just perfect. The location of their key west florida resorts are wonderful – it’s far enough away from the party-scene on Duval Street to be quiet and serene but close enough that the free shuttle gets you downtown in just a few minutes.
The staff, especially the amazing women at the front desk, are just amazing – warm, friendly, knowledgeable – a guest couldn’t ask for more.
And finally, the rooms are super-charming. They’ve absolutely nailed the 50’s retro beach vibe and it’s worth every penny to get a beach-front room. We will definitely be back!”

“Superb location! 2 bedroom was spacious and well furnished, even if the cooking utensils had some short comings. Pool, hot tub and beach was awesome. Night swimming in the ocean was great and snorkeling under the dock during the day revealed lots of schooling fish and other interesting items. Observation deck on top of resort was fabulous for the sunset view.
Tourist tip: Be sure to be down at the marina dock when the fishing boats come in. They dock and clean their catch for the day. The scraps they throw in the water attract the local wildlife. WOW. Probably the closest you will get to a real BIG fish on your trip.”

“My husband and I decided to take a mini vacation to Key West. We hadn’t been there in 20 years and we were excited to visit old favorites and enjoy new experiences. My husband liked the description of H2O Suites when we were browsing hotels near Duval Street. We liked the idea of an adults-only hotel and the rooftop pool with a bar was also enticing. We arrived around 5:00 pm. The front desk is staffed 24/7 so no worries there. There is a private parking area under cover at the lobby entrance and after grabbing our luggage we were escorted to our room by a courteous staff member describing all the features and amenities available. One thing to note is that the second-floor rooms are accessible by stairs only.
It wasn’t a problem for us, but some may need first-floor accommodations. From the moment we stepped into our room we were in our own secluded slice of paradise. I won’t post pictures of the room (which was amazing) because those are available on the website, but I will post pictures of the romantic walkway through the lushly landscaped courtyard and the view off our balcony. The dense tropical foliage that surrounds the resort makes you feel secluded from the hustle and bustle of Key West, yet the hotel is literally just steps away from the action. They provide daily maid service and a nightly turn-down service. There is a well-stocked mini bar as well. The rooftop pool and bar is amazing! The bartender shared not only yummy cocktails but also his knowledge of the island and places to visit. We wanted to stay an extra night because the hotel atmosphere was so wonderful and, although our room was reserved for that night, we were transferred seamlessly to an identical room across the courtyard.
Lastly, I don’t want to forget to mention the relaxing, sensual ambiance of the courtyard at night. There is a fire blazing in the fire pit at the entry way as you walk along the path past waterscapes and muted lighting, all surrounded by lush foliage. We didn’t know what to expect when booking at H2O, but I can say with confidence we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making our mini-retreat a memorable one!”
