But Why Do We Love The Flamingo Hotel So Much?
There are three major reasons why we love The Flamingo Hotel so much.
- Low prices,
- Location, and
- A great pool.
Situated centrally on the Strip, across from the Caesars Palace directly, The Flamingo Hotel at Vegas makes life convenient – their killer elevated walkways are located right outside the main entrance of the hotel. Since it’s one of the oldest hotels in Vegas, you will get to experience an old Vegas charm here, although the place is now surrounded by many newer renovations.
Once you go inside the hotel, it won’t feel like the glam and glitz of Bellagio or Cosmopolitan – instead, the nostalgia factor is the real deal here. Plus, it is difficult not to fall in love with the fluorescent pink theme of the entire property.
What We Don’t Like About The Flamingo Hotel?
If you reach the Flamingo Hotel on a weekend, the check-in procedure can get very lengthy. They have actually switched to self-serve kiosks mostly and these never seem to work for real. So, just try and wait so that you can check in with someone from the hotel’s front desk if it’s possible.
If you are staying in the hotel for only a few nights then it’s better to check-in a few hours earlier and clear your payment. That way, you will save plenty of time in line. Since it is an old hotel, there are multiple areas that will definitely feel outdated and tedious, so it’s best to not expect much, especially if you like posh hotels.
Plus, there are no onsite restaurants here, which is precisely why we wrote about the best restaurants near Flamingo!
However, these problems have never really been a big deal for us since there are multiple great places to dine, only within a five-minute walking distance.
Bon Appétit!
While looking for restaurants at Flamingo, we realized there is never a shortage of food here, just like there’s no shortage of casinos – from soaking in the old Vegas vibes at Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse to embracing modern feels at Flamingo’s food court, we were impressed with the options available for tourists here!
So, tell us, what are your thoughts on this world-famous casino? Feel free to share your thoughts, stories, and, most importantly, experiences about the must-tires and the world’s best at Flamingo in the comments below!
