Kedarkantha Trek 

The first stop on our list is the grand Kedarkantha trek. The Kedarkantha trek is one of the grandest and most iconic treks of Uttarakhand. The trek starts at a small village called Sankri and then takes you meandering through the Govind National Park.  

While trailing, you can come across lush green vegetation along with scenic villages and snowcapped hills. After the trek, you can chill at one of the three iconic Himalayan peaks called the Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Ranglana Peak. This is one of the best beginner treks in Uttarakhand.  

Valley Of Flowers Trek 

Imagine walking through a literal valley of flowers like you are in one of those Ghibli Movies. Well, the Valley of Flowers Trek in Uttrakhand can make that possible. A bed of flowers spanning over an area of 87.5 square kilometers.  

I was mesmerized when I saw this place with my own eyes. I was immediately transported to one of those paintings of Miyazaki.  The trek begins at Haridwar, which is one of the easiest treks in Uttarakhand. June, July, August, and September are the perfect months for visiting the Valley of Flowers.  

Har Ki Dun Trek 

Har Ki Dun trek is one of the most aesthetic treks in Uttarakhand. The trial is nestled in the snowcapped corners of the Garhwal range of the Himalayas. Hence, expect some really heavy snow coverage. The Har Ki Dun trek literally translates to Valley Of Gods, more specifically, Valley Of Shiva.

While trekking, you will come across some of the oldest settlements in Uttarakhand, such as Osla, Taluka, and Seema. For me, this trek was like a trip back in time. I met some amazing people and saw ancient temples and architecture that date back centuries.  

Chopta Trek 

The Chopta trek of Uttarakhand is a perfect trek for beginners who want to break away from the monotony of city life. Guides love to call this trail mini-Switzerland, but Chopta has its own identity. Chopta trek begins from the sacred city of Haridwar and meanders through some amazing scenic routes.  

Chopta is all about remote trails and picturesque views of the Himalayas. This is a perfect trek for all the beginners out there. The trek covers spoke of the most iconic peaks like the Trishul, Bandarpooch, Nanda Devi, and Chaukhamba. You can also visit the centuries-old Tungnath temple. Therefore, it should be on your bucket list.  

Nag Tibba Trek 

Nag Tibba Trek is one of the shortest treks in Uttarakhand. The trek only takes two days to complete. Therefore, it is a perfect trek for people who do not want to commit too much of their time but want something substantial.  

The trek starts from the beautiful city of Dehradun. However, there are other starting points as well. Therefore, your starting point might differ from mine. The Nag Tibba trek will take you through centuries-old villages and some really aesthetic vegetation. During the trek, you will be able to take in sights of places like Doon City, Bandarpooch Peak, etc. Hence, it should be on your bucket list.  

Brahmtal Trek 

The Brahmatal Trek has gained some popularity in recent times. More and more trekkers have chosen this trail as a beginner trail. The trek is located a few hours outside the Kathgodam suburbs. Therefore, you will not have any problem reaching the beginning. The trek will take you through some amazing spots like the high-altitude lakes of Bugyal and Junargali. Spots that look like they came out of a fantasy novel.  

Brahmtal-Trek

Brahmtal Trek was a life-changing experience for me. The trail helped me break away from the monotony of the city. The snowcapped peaks, along with dense vegetation, really made me reconsider my life in the city as a corporate slave. I simply wanted to get lost in the wilderness.  

Dayara Bugyal Trek 

Dayara Bugyal is another very popular trek in Uttarakhand. Every year, droves of people flock to explore this trail. Dayara Bugyal is one of the rarest and most serene experiences you can opt for. The trek offers a perfect mix of isolation and nature. As a result, you will feel like the trail has enriched your soul.  

The trek begins at a small village called the Barsu. Barsu is located 225 kilometers away from the Rishikesh City. Still, it is highly accessible, and you will have no trouble making your way to the starting point of the trail.  

Dodital Trek  

The Dodital trek is often called one of the most beautiful treks in Uttarakhand. As a result, the trek might get crowded. Still, it is a great experience for solo and beginner trekkers who want to experience something offbeat yet popular. 

The journey starts from Dehradun and ends at the Dital Trek. Throughout the trek, you will come across some of the best and most picturesque views of the Himalayas. The Dodital trek takes you through wild trails filled with amazing flora and fauna. Therefore, you should definitely check out this trek in order to experience something unique and ethereal.
